Ford Fiesta’s legacy as the most popular car in the UK has seen it top the ‘most listed’ used car at Carwow auctions for second consecutive year.
The 2016 model-year Fiesta was the specific make and model listed by private sellers in the greatest volumes last year – a 70% increase over 2023.
The 2016 Volkswagen Golf took second place, while the 2018 and 2016 Mercedes A-Class claimed third and fourth, respectively.
The 2017 Fiat 500 was the fifth most commonly listed used car, followed by another Ford in sixth place, the 2014 Focus.
The top 10 was rounded off with the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque in seventh place, 2016 BMW 3-Series in eighth, 2019 Ford Fiesta in ninth and the 2014 Volkswagen Polo in 10th.

Most viewed used cars on Carwow
Analysis of Carwow data also reveals that the most viewed used car listed for retail on its website in 2024 was the Volvo XC40.
Carwow analysed the number of views each of its used car listings received throughout the year to determine which were the most popular.
The Kia Sportage was the second most popular, followed by the Tesla Model 3 in third.
Completing the top five was Land Rover’s Range Rover Evoque and the Hyundai Tucson.
In fifth and sixth were the Volkswagen Tiguan and Toyota Yaris, with the Nissan Qashqai, Ford Kuga and Volkswagen Golf completing the top 10.
