Ineos Automotive launches vehicle locator tool for new and used Grenadier stock

Ineos Automotive has introduced a new vehicle locator platform, making it easier for potential buyers of its 4x4s to browse and purchase pre-configured new and “Certified by Ineos” used Grenadier vehicles.

The service was developed in partnership with Nexus Point, a specialist in digital automotive sales. Nexus Point’s Apex platform integrates directly into Ineos’ systems, helping streamline the management of new and used vehicle stock

The new tool provides detailed information on available models including finance options from Santander Consumer Finance.

It comes as Ineos has had to pause production of new Grenadiers at its factory in France due to issues with supply of a component from an unnamed supplier which has a “pre-insolvency situation”.

The vehicle manufacturer is working to a “conservative scenario” which might not see a return to full production rates until 2025 while the supplier works to turn around its business.

Initially launched in the UK, the online vehicle locator will roll out in Germany, Australia, South Africa, and the US by the end of 2024. Alongside images, videos, and full specifications, the platform will also include service histories for all certified used vehicles, offering a comprehensive purchasing experience.

Mike Whittington, chief commercial officer of Ineos Automotive, said: “This new platform will ensure our customers have simple and quick online access to every available Grenadier model on sale in their country, so they can easily choose and finance their vehicle with peace-of-mind.”

Ross Giblin, sales director of Nexus Point, added: “Our scalable Apex platform plugs directly into INEOS Automotive’s existing software and will accelerate sales growth by ensuring potential customers will have access to every Grenadier on sale in their market.”

Founded in 2017 by entrepreneur Jim Ratcliffe, Ineos Automotive was created to fill a market gap for a durable, reliable 4X4. The Ineos Grenadier, launched in 2022 before the range expanded in 2023 with the Quartermaster double-cab pick-up

The range is will expand this year with the laumch of the Ineos Fusilier, offering all-electric and range-extender powertrain options.
